maximusmaxxx My favorite song thus far from NB&TBRs. The vocals and musicianship of each contributor shines like sunlight on a river. Buy the entire discography. I can't wait to hear what's next!

about

Couple things - I have many favorite singers, and many favorite drummers, but there aren't many singing drummers. Sometimes drummers don't get enough respect. Many musicians & artists in general have a special kind of struggle and passion that other industries can't necessarily relate to. This song touches on some of those things while also showing respect to several of my musical influences.

The idea for this song had been running around the back of my mind for years. While on tour in spring 2019 I had a couple days off at my buddy Woody's farm in New Braunfels, TX and finally put the tune together there in his backyard.

It's inspired by Levon Helm and The Band, Lowell George and Little Feat, the Beatles, Ray Lamontagne, The Frightnrs, Daptone Records, Woody's permaculture farm, River Dog, and Central Texas.
