Where did the land, grass, and dirt go? I can find it. At least not here in Seattle or my hometown of Kent. The Kent Valley has some of the most fertile soil in the world for farming, but it's getting covered up by jailhouses, shopping centers, parking garages, movie theaters, cheap department stores filled with stuff made in China, etc...There uses to be parks, baseball fields, farm fields, but now it's a concrete jungle. I'm pretty sure it's more important to have places for kids to play outside, than in shopping centers. I'm pretty sure it's more important to have healthy soil for farming, than it is to have another movie theater or cheap shoe store. I love Seattle, but I also love leaving it...often.
Inspired by the changing landscape of Seattle, games, reggae band Midnite from St Croix, Kent Jr High, East Hill Elementary, condo overlords...
In loving memory of small businesses forced out of business by large corporations.

just in time to roll down the car window for a summertime road trip; country-rock heaven.” - Iaan Hughes, KBCS 91.3FM Seattle

One of the most creative dudes I know & have worked with. Had a blast playing bass & singing harmonies on his 2 Mts & Tunnels albums in this link. He played flute & clarinet on my album, Present Day. Norman Baker & the Backroads
